Game tickets offered with hotel packagesWhen fall rolls around each year, we football fans in the Pacific Northwest go a little crazy. And with good reason. The Seattle Seahawks are recent Super Bowl champions and continue to contend every year for the top spot in the league.
You hear a lot about how CenturyLink Field is sold out, but there are some great hotel packages available if you are planning on visiting Seattle for one or more of the games this fall. A website called Fandeavor.com does a great job of putting tickets together with hotel rooms and ground transportation so that you can buy them all at once.
When you go to the site, you'll see several options for seating at the game, as well as recommendations for hotels based upon what your priorities are. Some hotels are budget priced, others are top of the line -- still others are chosen for their location.
The nice thing is that you can review your options for each of the elements in your package. For example, when you start choosing your game tickets, the site will give you a lot of choices, complete with a seating chart. Your whole reservation works that way -- you work your way down from game tickets to the hotels that are available and the ground transportation from the hotel to the game.
We did a sample booking for the Atlanta Falcons game in Seattle, choosing a 300-level seat at CenturyLink Field, a budget stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Sea-Tac Airport, and both light rail transportation to the stadium and airport transfers. Altogether, we would pay $412 per person for that package, with many more expensive options available.
Taking ground transportation to the game can be a real stress reliever even if you've driven to Seattle and have your own car available. Link Light Rail is recommended because it will take you right to the stadium.
CenturyLink Field is located just south of downtown Seattle. It seats 69,500 of the loudest fans in the NFL. About 70 percent of the seats are out of the rain and drizzle. Many seats in the stadium provide exceptional sight lines of the field with the iconic Seattle skyline serving as the backdrop.
You'll want to arrive at the stadium an hour early to watch your favorite players warm up and to watch the raising of the 12th Man flag, a Seattle tradition. There is nothing quite like experiencing the energy of the 12th Man.
